The key to irrigation projects is to prevent clogging. Choosing the right agricultural irrigation filter is a prerequisite for a successful irrigation project. Commonly used agricultural irrigation filters include gravel filters, centrifugal filters, mesh filters, laminated filters and automatic filters. The former two are used for primary filtration, and the latter is used for secondary filtration. There are many specifications of filters, the choice of filter and its combination are mainly determined by the water quality.
1. Sand filter:
Also called sand media filter. The filter medium of the sand filter is quartz sand filter material. When the raw water passes through the quartz sand filter material, the impurities in the water are intercepted, so that the effluent can be filtered by the steel tank filled with quartz sand, and the impurities are filtered through the sand medium. The sand filter must be washed in turn. It is best to use automatic backwashing. The sand filter has the best effect on filtering organic impurities in river water and lake water. It is often installed at the head of the drip irrigation system as a primary filter.
2. Centrifugal filter:
When agricultural irrigation water passes through this filter, the water flow is centrifugal, separating the larger sand particles and entering the sand collecting tank. After accumulating for a certain period of time, the sediment will be manually or automatically discharged. Centrifugal filters are most suitable for filtering well water. Often used as a first-level filter in a well water irrigation filter station.
3. Mesh filter:
When filtering impurities through a sieve filter. When the water quality is better, the mesh filter can be used alone. Generally used as a secondary filter, combined with sand filter and centrifugal filter.
4. Laminated filter:
The laminated filter is a device that overlaps the plastic laminated sheets with grooves together, and passes water through the channel formed by the grooves and intercepts impurities to achieve the purpose of filtering. Like a mesh filter, when the water quality is better, it can be used alone. Generally used as a secondary filter, combined with sand filter and centrifugal filter.
